Quote of the Day: Be Yourself

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

Oscar Wilde

Oscar Fingal O’Flahertie Wills Wilde tragically died from meningitis at age 46. He was an Irish poet and playwright renowned for his witty quotes. This message is simple and direct … you have no choice other than to be you! Embrace and celebrate that thought.

  1. I had no idea that Oscar WIlde died so young and I didn’t know he had such a long name, either. I love the quote – it is so true. It’s something I need to learn from. Hope you’re keeping warm. It’s been minus 2C here today and will be minus 7C tonight – brrr! Take care, Andrew.

    1. Oscar Wilde …. I read three books this year concerning him, one about Oscar called “the trials of Oscar Wilde” and the other 2 were novels by the author “The Picture of Dorian Grey” and “The Importance of being Ernest”. I recommend all 3 but highly recommend the first … it is transcripts from his tiral for indecency and homosexuality (then a very serious crime). It will explain his downfall and early death!
