When you get a bad grade in school, show it to your mom when she’s on the phone.
Showing a bad grade to your mom while she is on the phone might not be the most effective way to communicate about your academic struggles, as she might be preoccupied with her phone conversation and not able to give you her full attention. It is better to wait until she is available and can give you her undivided attention, and then discuss the grade with her in a calm and respectful manner. Together, you can come up with a plan to improve your grades and work towards achieving your academic goals. But, hey, we all like to try to get away with not getting a telling-off!
